I have over 30 years experience practicing acupuncture, patients come to me for treatment for a wide range of ailments.
I combine knowledge of Five Element acupuncture, Traditional Chinese medicine, Fire-Cupping and Moxibustion. In 2008 I joined The Zita West ClinicNetwork for Reproductive Health as an Affiliated Acupuncturist and am able to provide care before, during and after pregnancy.
I predominantly use a gentler Japanese needle technique which differs from the Chinese style in that the needles used are finer and the insertion is quite shallow causing less discomfort (you can see from the photos below how fine the needles are). In fact, most people find the treatment very relaxing.

Fire cupping is another part of traditional Chinese medicine that complements acupuncture. It is a method of creating a vacuum on the patient's skin to improve qi flow—to treat respiratory diseases such as the common cold, pneumonia and bronchitis. Cupping can also be used on back, neck, shoulder and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Moxibustion (sometimes also called Moxa from the Japanese name for the herb used) is used to warm regions and acupuncture points to stimulate circulation through the points and induce a smoother flow of blood and qi.
This can either be done by indirect action when placed on an acupuncture needle to heat the needle, or directly on the skin at the acupuncture point.

For your convenience you can choose to be treated at either of my clinics in either Warminster or Salisbury. Click on the Contact link for details of clinic times and locations.
